Impolite phone manners. It seems the world is littered with it, going by tv and film.
Saying goodbye doesn’t take long.

Idiot thugs/henchmen who attack the hero one at a time, rather than all steaming in together.

Star Trek always had a Lieutenant Bitpart who's only role was to beam down with the landing party and get killed.
You'd have thought that by the second series...

When the hero needs a disguise and the clothes from the fella he knocks out always fit. Indiana Jones and Castaway are the only two I remember that made a point of that.

When an on/off love affair raeches a climax, the woman decides to fuck off . The bloke chases after her and in a crowded public place, he swears his undying love, or proposes. When she says yes, the crowd start clapping..

Lost count recently, of the number of times in dramas, a supporting character, who has to be killed off, to develop the plot, is run over. Purportedly accidentally.
As soon as I see such a character near a road or a pavement, I'm expecting a splat.
Was watching something yesterday (won't say the series name, to avoid spoilers). It made a pleasant change, when the supporting character didn't get run over, but got shot through the head.

Women fainting. A great plot device that lasted from the Victorian era to the action movies in the 80s. Now sadly restricted to Bollywood films.
